LONG STORY SHORT

I designed and created a fully functional prototype of a highly-requested Provider mobile app.

Feature inconsistencies from both UI/UX/Functionality held us down from our goal of product adoption. Attempting to design features and products from scratch with no foundation led me to creating the company's first design system.

I reviewed companies with great UI (Apple, Notion, Figma, Pegasus, etc) and looked into the design systems they used. As this was a solo project I was creating to later present to the team - I set the vision, action and what my result would be. Soon after, I got approval from my Senior Product manager and the Design system was established!

💭

How might a provider app best aid our users? Additionally, what improvements could we add to ensure feasible release date and light dev-time?

HEARING OUR USERS

I redesigned with a focus on new ways to view and manage diabetes with a modern approach

I found that the Dexcom app my wife uses to keep track of her glucose levels felt very superficial in usability and features. My main changes were:

A simple PRD (Product Requirement Document) for the Staff Mobile App. I made sure to not ramble and only mention brief points as to not overcomplicate the document (as to not confuse the designer if I was to hand it to them).
